Sweet Salvaged Designs.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I make many OOAK jewellery pieces using vintage and mixed metals like copper, nickle, brass and steel. I like using rosary beads, MOP pieces, old brooches, medals, lockets and various found objects for whatever I think works best for the particular piece I am working on at the time. You can see me at the Kalamunda markets, held once a month on the first Saturday of each month and various other venues that I will post about. You may email me at quilt@touch88.com.au for any inquiries.

ballooning over the Avon valley.

Today my husband and I went ballooning at Northam, our three children brought us the tickets for our big birthday (not mentioning the age) after 2 hours sleep we had to be at the airport at 5. 15 am, everyone pitched in to help the launching of the balloon.

There were 21 people in the basket including the pilot, we took off just before sunset and watched the sun coming up, it was truly a wonderful sight

There was a young couple on board , when the sun had come up he proposed to his girlfriend, she cried, tears of happiness, aahhhh, everyone clapped, it was rather sweet. We then went and had champagne breakfast at Northam.Tomorrow my sister Jacky and I are going to pick up my sister Sharon from the airport as us three sisters are having a week away down south, a sister re-union for my birthday, unfortunately my youngest sister Paddy can't make it over from New Zealand, never mind Paddy you can come to Paris with me next year.

We four girls have had several sister only re-unions over the last 10 years, as only Jacky and I live in Perth so it is nice to just get together and reminisce about our family and childhood memories. We usually meet in Mebourne, Sydney or somewhere in between. Will let you know more later.
