Sweet Salvaged Designs.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I make many OOAK jewellery pieces using vintage and mixed metals like copper, nickle, brass and steel. I like using rosary beads, MOP pieces, old brooches, medals, lockets and various found objects for whatever I think works best for the particular piece I am working on at the time. You can see me at the Kalamunda markets, held once a month on the first Saturday of each month and various other venues that I will post about. You may email me at quilt@touch88.com.au for any inquiries.

A lovely weekend in Melbourne.

This past weekend I spent in Melbourne ( a mothers day present from my three children ) thanks kids. the weather was lovely as it was raining mostly in Perth. On the Monday my daughter Karen took me to the Abbotsford convent, we had a lovely lunch then wondered around the farm and buildings to show Miller the animals. This was also a home for women and girls and now has a lot to do with the arts. If ever you get to Melbourne I would recommend a visit to this place, it is so beautiful and peaceful yet only 4km from the centre of Melbourne, a true gem.
