Sweet Salvaged Designs.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I make many OOAK jewellery pieces using vintage and mixed metals like copper, nickle, brass and steel. I like using rosary beads, MOP pieces, old brooches, medals, lockets and various found objects for whatever I think works best for the particular piece I am working on at the time. You can see me at the Kalamunda markets, held once a month on the first Saturday of each month and various other venues that I will post about. You may email me at quilt@touch88.com.au for any inquiries.

I am really feeling inspired and motivated to get into new projects. I received the next magazine called " the Jeanne d Arc Living" this is a wonderful magazine from Denmark, normally its written in Danish but they have now started doing it in English and my sister gets them in, so if your interested in a copy I can pass on details.
Jacky and I were going over details for our next "Miss Johnson's Vintage Market" held next month, all spaces are now filled but we do need a caterer, email me if you can help.
After coming home with the new magazine I set out to make these wings for my favourite mannequin, not a easy task, it took me all night to hand sew on the frail antique cotton wings, I first hand dyed the fabric in parisienne esence to give it more age. I used my skills to twist the thick steel wire for the wing frames, thanks to the chain making class I did with Keith Lo Bue. I also made some wire hearts, more photos to follow. It feels fabulous to get your creative juices flowing., off course I couldn't get to sleep that night, just wanted to do more.
