Sweet Salvaged Designs.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I make many OOAK jewellery pieces using vintage and mixed metals like copper, nickle, brass and steel. I like using rosary beads, MOP pieces, old brooches, medals, lockets and various found objects for whatever I think works best for the particular piece I am working on at the time. You can see me at the Kalamunda markets, held once a month on the first Saturday of each month and various other venues that I will post about. You may email me at quilt@touch88.com.au for any inquiries.

I've been doing the hard stuff

For the past few weeks I have been working on the hard stuff, my hands now need a rest. I have handforged most of the chains you see below, using 16 gauge wire. Some of my pieces are certainly not fot the faint of heart, but I enjoy working these pieces. I have two big fairs coming up next weekend, Kalamunda is on Saturday then Perth Upmarket is on the next day Sunday, this is held at UWA, a lovely venue, well worth the visit, I will be upstairs.

These are handforged screw keys, around 40 to 60 years old.
